Is Mediation for Separatingcouple’smarriage counselling?

No mediation is for couples who have decided to separate and want to make agreements on their separation.

Can the mediation be done online?

Yes. We use Zoom for our mediations which has proved very successful.

Will you solve the problem for us?

No, you will arrive at your own outcome together. Our role is to facilitate the conversation between you both and to follow the mediation process.

What happens if the mediation does not work?

In most cases, the mediation is very successful (80-90% success rate). However, if mediation does not work all other routes for dispute resolution are open to you, and nothing that was said in mediation(subject to the Mediation Act 2017) can be used as it is a confidential process.

Do we both have to agree to mediation?

Yes, mediation is a voluntary process that all parties enter into freely.

Do I have to sit in the same room as the other person?

Not necessarily however joint sessions can prove very productive.

Where do you operate from?

We operate from three locations including Dublin 2, Dublin Airport/Swords, and Drogheda.
